About Us
Pastor Jonathon & Sami Ichrist
Hello Friends,
We look forward to meeting you!
We are both Colorado transplants who are passionate about Jesus and spreading His gospel. We each have amazing testimonies of what the Lord has done in our lives and would love the opportunity to share our journey with you as well as encourage you on yours. I am originally from San Diego, CA and my lovely wife, Sami, is from Dallas, TX.

I heard the call to preach in 2013 and Sami has been involved in church ministry since 1989 when she first served as a Sunday School teacher as well as a homeschooling mother in Dallas. We met in 2019 at Living Word Ministries International (LWMI), in Wheat Ridge, CO when I would preach there, occasionally. The Lord began writing our amazing story when He brought us together in marriage and ministry in 2020.

Since moving to the Denver area in 2005, Sami worked on staff for seven years at Faith Christian High School in Arvada, CO where her two, now adult children, graduated. She has worked for other Christian organizations since that time. I have served in several ministry roles and during the time I was preaching at LWMI, I started International Ministry of Christ (IMOC) a 501c3 ministry and was ordained by Rich Harris, Founder of LWMI. Through prayer and wise counsel, the Lord impressed upon us to wait to begin holding church services during our first year of marriage. during that waiting period, IMOC raised financial support to help my close brother in Christ, Pastor Antonio Perez, start his church in Mexico, “Viento Recio.” IMOC also helped Pastor Antonio with their land and building project for a children’s feeding program that now feeds over 75 children weekly. The mexico mission is a ministry dear to my heart as I ministered there in my single years and have a close history with my brother Antonio. We continue to support this ministry today.

In 2021, the Lord spoke to us it was time to start a house church and we began holding Sunday services in our home. Since then, in the summer of 2022, we have moved from our living room to an outdoor tent and by the end of 2022 when Colorado weather was no longer favorable for outdoor meetings, we moved into a small building which we renovated into a chapel on our property. More recently we changed our ministry name to Vantage Point Church as a DBA of International Ministry of Christ (IMOC).

We are a micro church with a Mega God and are poised for the growth we know the Lord has planned for our fellowship. In addition, to our in-person congregation, our Sunday services are live-streamed weekly to the transitional care center and nursing home where I am Chaplain and have been ministering weekly for the past seven years. We also have a Wednesday mid-week service where we offer dynamic E-courses for spiritual growth.

We have a burning call to disciple believers in the love of God and the truth of the Bible. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we desire to set captives free according to Isaiah 61 and to teach and encourage believers to walk in intimacy and consecration with the Lord. We embrace all the gifts of the Holy Spirit as promised in the Scriptures and strive to fulfill the Great Commission as commanded by the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18-20
